DOMINIK BARI

Dominik Bari studied at the International Film & Television School of Paris, specializing in camera and film editing. In addition to his studies, he has worked for various production companies and advertising agencies in Slovakia, the Czech Republic, France and the USA. After completing his undergraduate degree, he studied in London, where he graduated from the prestigious National Film and Television School (NFTS) with a Master’s degree in Visual Film Effects and Post-Production. As a director, he has worked with national TV stations RTVS and CT as well as foreign TV stations such as HBO, BBC and National Geographic. He actively cooperates with film schools, non-profit organizations, film festivals and the United Nations.

In 2019, his film Oymyakon qualified for the Oscar in the documentary category and was supported by the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation. In 2020, he was part of two teams that were shortlisted for the British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA). He was selected by Forbes magazine as one of the 30 most successful Slovaks under 30.

He runs Artemis Distribution, a film distribution company specialising in buying films from the USA and deploying them in Central Europe. He also works for Invem, a production company that produces commercials and reality videos, and CinemaStore, a company that distributes film projectors. In addition, he is actively involved in film directing, production and post-production of films in his own studio.
