VIKTOR TAUŠ

Viktor (1973) ešte počas štúdia na FAMU nakrútil inscenovaný dokumentárny film Eleanor Rigby z Malej Strany (1995), ktorý bol úspešne uvedený a ocenený na viacerých medzinárodných festivaloch. Nasledoval jeho prvý hraný film Kanárek, ktorý kritika označila za “najvýraznejší debut desaťročia” a za ktorý strihač Alois Fišárek získal Českého leva.

V rokoch 2004 – 2011 pracoval ako reklamný režisér a vytvoril viac ako 70 reklám (Renault, Vodafone, O2, GE Money Bank, Unilever, Nestlé a ďalšie). V roku 2007 založil produkčnú spoločnosť FogʼnʼDesire Films.

Jeho druhý celovečerný film Sněženky a machři po 25 letech bol uvedený v roku 2010. V Českej republike mal film druhú najvyššiu prvovíkendovú návštevnosť v novodobej histórii, stal sa najlegálnejšie stiahnutým filmom a následne mal pri televíznej premiére bezprecedentný 73% podiel na sledovanosti.

Ako producent sa podieľal na filme Dom slovenskej režisérky Zuzany Lilovej, ktorý bol ocenený na Medzinárodnom filmovom festivale Berlinale 2011.

DOMINIK BARI

Dominik Bari studied at the International Film & Television School of Paris, specializing in camera and film editing. In addition to his studies, he has worked for various production companies and advertising agencies in Slovakia, the Czech Republic, France and the USA. After completing his undergraduate degree, he studied in London, where he graduated from the prestigious National Film and Television School (NFTS) with a Master’s degree in Visual Film Effects and Post-Production. As a director, he has worked with national TV stations RTVS and CT as well as foreign TV stations such as HBO, BBC and National Geographic. He actively cooperates with film schools, non-profit organizations, film festivals and the United Nations.

In 2019, his film Oymyakon qualified for the Oscar in the documentary category and was supported by the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation. In 2020, he was part of two teams that were shortlisted for the British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA). He was selected by Forbes magazine as one of the 30 most successful Slovaks under 30.

He runs Artemis Distribution, a film distribution company specialising in buying films from the USA and deploying them in Central Europe. He also works for Invem, a production company that produces commercials and reality videos, and CinemaStore, a company that distributes film projectors. In addition, he is actively involved in film directing, production and post-production of films in his own studio.

RADIM ŠPAČEK

Radim (1973) has performed in many radio and TV shows since childhood. Thanks to his studies of acting at the conservatory, Karel Kachyňa chose him in 1988 for the lead role in the film Fools and Little Girls. After graduation he was accepted at FAMU, majoring in directing. After a year of study, he went to war-torn Sarajevo, where he made his debut Young Men Discovering the World (1995). He graduated from FAMU with his second film, Rapid Eye Movement (1998).

He is also a documentary filmmaker (Sleepless Nights) and works for Czech Television (“60”, Artoz, The Big Chariot, Cosmopolis, Etiquette, Q, The Hindsight Effect, The Life and Times of Judge A.K.), and has experience with TV series for TV Prima (Airport, Cold Feet, The Miracles of Life). His feature film Walking Too Fast (2010) won five Czech Film Critics’ Awards and the same number of Czech Lions. In 2014 he released Places, and in 2018 his film The Golden Betrayal premiered.

He is the co-founder and creative director of the Bollywood Film Festival. He is also involved in theatre, staging an adaptation of the novel The Lover at MeetFactory in the spring of 2014.

TEREZA NVOTOVÁ

Tereza (1988) graduated in direction from film academy FAMU in Prague. Her feature debut “Filthy” has been screened in major festivals around the world including Rotterdam, Karlovy Vary, Cairo, and Santa Barbara. During its distribution “Filthy” took home more than 20 awards, making it one of the most successful Czech and Slovak films of the year.

Tereza collaborates with various broadcasting companies, most notably HBO Europe who has co-produced her feature debut and two documentary films. Her latest HBO documentary “The Lust for Power” has been shortlisted for the European Film Academy Awards 2019. It was critically acclaimed and has caused heated debate about populism and corruption in politics.

Tereza is an alumnus of 2019 Berlinale Talents, a development initiative of the Berlin International Film Festival.

PETER BUDINSKÝ

Peter (1983) graduated in Animation film department from the Film and TV Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava, Slovakia. He studied an Erazmus Program at Animation department of RITS in Brussels, Belgium. He created several short films and music videos, among which Alfonz’s Fly, Bird of Prey and tWINs were the most successful. All of them were presented and awarded on the international festivals.

After graduating, he started to work as a freelancer in Bratislava, Slovakia on different animated projects, short films, and music videos. In 2013, he founded his own production company and animation studio plutoon in Bratislava, Slovakia. plutoon is offering complex services in the animation field not only to the filmmakers but also to the advertising agencies, other production companies, and individual clients. The studio creates animated TV spots, instructional videos, music videos, product presentations, post-production, special effects, and other audiovisual content for a wide range of companies and projects.

PETR OUKROPEC

Petr (1972) was born in Prague, Czech Republic. In 1994 he made his production debut with Saša Gedeon’s feature, Indian Summer. In 1995 he founded Negativ, that has produced more than 40 feature films, that were awarded on many international festivals. In 1999 he won the Czech Lion Award for The Idiot Returns. He is a member of European Film Academy. His long term work with children and non-actors in the theatre “Zmrzlík“ from the village of Těchonice, located in the foothills of Šumava, has gained a wide following and earned acclaim.  He made his directorial debut in 2012 with children’s adventure film, Blue Tiger, which won several international awards. His second film, In Your Dreams, was screened in the Generation 14+ Competition at Berlinale 2016 and was screened in more than 25 countires of the world.

JAN SPECKENBACH

Jan (1970) studied history of art, philosophy and art of media in Munich, Karlsruhe and Paris. Since 1999 he has been working as an independent video artist, particularly in theatre productions. In 2005 he started post-graduate studies for film directing at the German Film and Television Academy (dffb) Berlin. His first short The Other Day in Eden was invited to the Cinéfondation at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival. His second short Sparrows was short-listed for the OSCARS as Best Live Action Short in 2010. In 2011 he graduated from the dffb with Reported Missing, a full-length feature film, which premiered at the Berlinale, was shortlisted for the German Film Awards and nominated for the European Film Awards 2012 as European Discovery. His second feature Freedom premiered at the 70th Locarno Festival in competition.
